  PROOFS, EVEDENCES

Proof = The moment when sources are sufficient to leave no doubts

Primary "sources"

Documents created at the time of the event, documents that attest. They come from baptism, marriage or burial registers, notarial acts or censuses.

Secondary "sources"

Documents created after the event by a person deemed reliable, for example the "Genealogical Dictionary of Canadian Families" written by Cyprien Tanguay, genealogist, priest and professor of history, or whether they are genealogical works such as the work of the 'historian Gustave Lanctot.

Tertiary "sources"

Documents based on primary or secondary documents (autobiography, memoirs, family history).  These sources cannot be taken as indisputable evidence.

Quaternary sources

- Documents whose sources are statements found on blogs, forums or genealogical sites on the Internet. These sources can serve as guides but cannot be taken as indisputable evidence.

- Gravestones, photos, painted works found on genealogy sites.   These sources can embellish an amateur family genealogy but cannot be taken as indisputable proof.

"recherche successorale" qui pourrait être faite par un(e) notaire.

Acording to the requests already in progress
